  • Post-Graduate Certificate in Nursing with Co-op

    Admission Requirements:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
    • Must be currently registered as an RN in country of origin and in all countries worked as an RN.
    • Minimum of one year of nursing experience within the last 5 years.
    • IELTS 6.0 overall with no score lower than 5.5, or iBT TOEFL 80; or Equivalent Standardized External Assessment.
    • Note: Students entering with a Diploma in Nursing may not be eligible to write the RN exam but maybe eligible to write the LPN (CPNRE) exam. This determination is made by Nursing Regulatory body for both RN and LPN in Canada and is not part of Sprott Shaw College’s application process
    Co-op and Practicum Requirements:
    • Obtain a satisfactory certificate of health from a physician with a Physician’s Waiver
    • Submit a criminal record check (must be Public Safety & Solicitor General Schedule B)
    • Provide evidence of clear TB testing prior to acceptance
    • Note: the above three requirements must be done no more than three months before the start of the program
    • Provide evidence of up-to-date Immunizations (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Polio, Chicken Pox, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, Influenza and others as required by clinical sites)
    • Successful completion of all theory courses
    • Maintain Sprott Shaw College’s attendance requirements
    • FoodSafe Level 1 (or a course deemed equivalent)
    • First Aid
    • CPR Level “C” or “HCP”
    • Provincial Violence Prevention

  • Tourism & Hospitality Management Program with Co-op

    Admission Requirements:

    • Grade 12 / GED or mature student status (all transcripts must be “true certified copies” or originals)
    • Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and may be required to do an entrance assessment (with a minimum composite score of 42)
    Note: English level assessment will be required for international students (with a minimum score of 20/40 in language).
    Diploma Requirements:
    • 60% average upon successful completion of all courses, including courses given a complete

  • Business Administration Management with Co-op

    Admission Requirements:

    • Grade 12 / GED or mature student status (all transcripts must be “true certified copies” or originals)
    • Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and may be required to do an entrance assessment (with a minimum composite score of 42)
    Note: English level assessment will be required for international students (with a minimum score of 20/40 in language).
    Diploma Requirements:
    • Instructors are available at all times for scheduled classes and by email (response within 24 hours)
    • 60% average upon successful completion of all courses, including courses given a complete
