What does Curtin University stand for?

Curtin University was established in 1987 and was initially named as the Curtin University of Technology. The name was taken from John Curtin, the influential and widely revered former Prime Minister of Australia.

Curtin University offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs in the fields of business, humanities, health sciences, resources, architecture, law, education, computer studies, engineering and related sciences.

To expand its students' learning and research opportunites, Curtin University has formed partnerships with various organizations like NASA, CISCO, Chevron, Health Department of Western Australia, Bankwest, Cancer Foundation/Cancer Council Western Australia, etc. These orgranizations have advanced Curtin University's teaching and research, shared its expertise with the university, recruited and supported Curtin students.
