What does China Europe International Business School stand for?

China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) is a public higher education institution in Shanghai, China offering courses in MBA and several Executive Education Programs. CEIBS was established in 1994 under an agreement by the Chinese government and European Union (EU).

China Europe International Business School is patterned from the European business school framework. The school provides degrees in MBA, Finance MBA, Executive MBA, Executive Education, and Ph.D. CEIBS' main campus is in Shanghai. It also has two campuses in China (Beijing and Shenzhen); as well as in other countries including Zurich, Switzerland and Accra, Ghana.

Since its establishment, CEIBS' MBA program continues to be one of the best in Asia. In 2019, the school ranked 5th in the Global MBA Ranking of Financial Times. CEIBS also ranked 2nd in the 2019 Global MBA Rankings of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). QS is one of the leading university ranking organizations in the world.
