International students who want to study in Vietnam does not necessarily need to learn the Vietnamese language. The country offers a wide array of programs that are being taught in English. A visa is needed if you are staying in Vietnam for more than 21 days. You can apply online or at the Vietnam Embassy. Applying through the embassy will require the following:

• Original Passport (with at least 6-months validity)
• One completed application form for a Vietnam visa (Contact the embassy or consulate for this form)
• One passport size photo of 4×6 cm (attached to the application)
• Visa fees

Generally, schools in Vietnam require the following:

• TOEFL, SAT, IELTS
• Completed Accommodation form (if accommodation is needed)
• Diploma or High School Certificate
• Valid passport

Vietnamese is the official language of the country and is spoken by the majority of the population but there are a number of universities and educational institutions that offer programs with English as the medium of instruction.
