The BA in Communication Arts program yearns to produce graduates with a thorough understanding of the communication process within the context of man’s cultural and historical heritage. Based on a humanistic outlook, the program seeks to give the student a broad background in the humanities, social sciences, physical and biological sciences, as well as training in writing, speech communication, theater arts, public relations and advertising. The student may choose to conduct a thesis, a practicum or take an education option. In the education option, the student takes a minimum of 18 units of professional education courses as required by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports for high school teachers.
