Applicants for Grade 11 who have not completed the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) will be admitted on the basis of school transcripts, written applications, teacher recommendations, interviews and admission tests.
Acceptance into the Diploma Programme (DP) shall depend on the Admissions Committee’s belief in the ability of the student to meet the academic requirements of the DP. Concerns about the student’s present level of achievement gives the academy the right to not accept a student into the DP. Such students may be guided into the Beacon Academy certificate programme, or in extreme cases, may be encouraged to seek other options.
Only students transferring from IB Diploma Programme Schools will be considered for admission to Grade 12.
A student will be admitted to the Beacon Academy upon successful completion of all parts of the Admissions process.
